Illustration Friday: Remember

The little girl is my mom, circa 1930. This is one of a series of heirloom collages I did for people. The text reads

find your way, little girl
find your way through the past
to me, here, today

The dictionary page highlights "inventive," "intuitive," and "invaluable" and I included a page from a Catholic hymnal as she attended Catholic school from kindergarten through twelfth grade.

I think about her every day and miss her lots.

This made me feel happy...and then sad. I am sorry you miss your mom. I miss mine terribly. This is a beautiful collage, though. Very sweet. Your mom is probably proud of you.

Sincerely,

Kate
