Monday Morning

Is there anything nicer than walking down the hill on a sunny cool morning, and stepping into the studio to see this on my little easel?

Nope.

Love these colors--fallish colors, now that I think about it.

~~~
So. I'm creeping up on my 1000th post. I figured it out at the beginning of August, and if I'd done one post a day, more or less, for the whole month, I'd hit 1000 posts by the beginning of September. Unfortunately, I sort of fell off the wagon last week, and I won't make it until sometime early in September.  I'm planning some kind of giveaway to celebrate, tho I haven't figured out what I'll be giving away :)
One thousand seems like such a momentous number. I know, if we had, say, eight fingers, I'd be excited about my 512th post (that's 8 times 8 times 8--although it would still look like 1000, if we used base 8)--or if we had nine fingers, it would be my 729th post that would generate excitement (which is 9 times 9 times 9--although, again, it would look like 1000 in base nine--little math lesson there ;)
But I have ten fingers, and 1000 it is. Kinda proud of myself that I've kept plugging along on the blog. I have to say, the best part of blogging has been, by far, the friends I've made here in the blogosphere. Such wonderful caring, and information, and inspiration--You are all amazing.
Anyhow, 1000 is coming up. I'm off to paint...
