"Mom, the light is perfect today..."

Katie came home from school the other day, made this pronouncement, grabbed my good camera, and said that she and Jenny were going on a bike ride to do a photoshoot.

My artist friend Kelly has always said that Katie 'has a good eye'. I thought I'd share a few of the pictures she took, completely UNtouched-up, please note!

I love these photos! The composition and lighting are so great. Katie is a fantastic photographer, and Jenny a beautiful model. These are as good as many senior portraits I've seen!

Are these photos just so cute !!!

Amazing, isn't it? Our children are such miracles.

The truck story was entertaining. I have to admit if the Wal-Mart greeter looked at you funny, you have a big problem.......HA!

I have short hair too and I think it should just be a given that short hair means no crop circles.....gads.

So you like the doll with the red dress? Well just you wait til you see the skirt she is about to get.....OMG, I did some shopping at the local Goodwill and found a wonderful skirt that I've cut down.....way cool. I think I paid double what a piece of fabric would have cost.....but I think it was well worth the extra effort.

Oh, to have a good eye. That is why I love being around children...for when they say things like "the light is perfect today" and leave you stopped in your tracks.
