Wish Her Well...

My college roommate and friend for 27 years, Kelly, is about to make her final trip to Kazakhstan to bring her baby girl, Josie, home for good. I made a quilt for Josie, hand-quilted it to within an inch of its life, and mailed it off this last week. Kelly put a picture of it up on her blog, here--if you have time, go take a look at the quilt and wish Kelly the best as she embarks on that strange and wonderful journey of motherhood!

Karen I did go to your friends blog and wished her well...and saw your beautiful quilt. I love the colors you chose. The baby will be warmed by them and it.
Sweet of you to do this and nice to know you too have a friend from childhood.

Just popped over to Kelly's blog to see your quilt and to wish her and Josie well. The quilt is gorgeous. What a special gift for you to give her! The baby will appreciate its warmth now and its history and love when she gets older.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving such an insightful comment. I love the metaphor of the bulbs poking their heads up, getting ready to bloom. We need that same preparatory time!
