The Big Draw Day Five or Six, I'm Confused...

I'm off a day, I think. These sketches are from last night. I sat down with a magazine, opened it, and started to draw. I'm going to try and draw something from life today.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets confused...! ;-)
Monday was day 1 if that helps. I'll all behind but will post scans of drawings soon.

I like the little person in the middle, sweet.

Love the little person too, bending to take up something, and the chair, I have one like this of leather and watch tv in it:)
I'm confused too with the days, will have to adjust.
Have a nice evening

How do we have time to check each other's blogs out if we are busy, drawing, painting *you) quilting (me), etc, etc. etc.???? How do we do it ALL? Enchanting drawings here...the little kid with tush, the exotic woman with beads, and the stately chair. All great!

Enjoyed looking at your potporri (sp) of drawings. Love the chair as others have said, and the wonderful little person. Well, I think it is so kind of all of us to respond on the blogs to the drawings and be so enthusiastic. For my part, it fills me with inspiration to continue drawing. Isn't the internet wonderful to allow us all to share our artworks. We can be kinda like little kids with each other. Look Mom, see what I did today!!!! Don't we all need such encouragement???!!!! :)

I love the variations in style in your sketches! Particularly the figure bending over to pick something up; it has an indefinable sense of "child" about it. Maybe the delightful, swirly hair? And the woman with the beads is great. I think the 3/4 view of the face is the hardest to capture naturally, and you've given her such a sense of style!

Something fun:
You may know that dictionary.com posts a word of the day ... they have archives going back to 1999. If you ever need to get a jump-start on a page, using a word, these can be fun.

This month:
1. bouleversement: complete overthrow; a reversal.
2. supervene: to take place or occur as something additional, extraneous, or unexpected.
3. distrait: divided or withdrawn in attention, especially because of anxiety.
4. redoubtable: formidable; also, illustrious; eminent.
5. paroxysm: an outburst; a fit.
6. exiguous: extremely scanty.
7. facetious: playfully jocular; humorous.
8. maladroit: awkward; unskillful; inept.

I particularly love "facetious" and "paroxysm," as in "the paroxysms of laughter coming from my friends Jenny and Katie."

Good for you. My daughter [eldest] and I agree that we would draw every day [NY resolution] I only managed a couple of weeks - another campaign failure.
