Illustration Friday: Green

Spent some time last evening messing around with digital watercolors and made this lovely green experimental piece--when I came out to the studio this morning, the computer had evidently hiccuped during the night, as it was GONE.

Here's another. This one is digital from the get-go. Usually I start with a scan of one of my collage backgrounds--not today!

Today I want to work some more on the PS book by Katrin Eismann...

It's beautiful! Serene, zen-like. It would make a nice cover to a book or a scrapbook page.

this is great, karen!

just curious, did you use a photograph for the image of the tree and birds? do you use the lasso tool for an image like this?

What a lovely piece. It's utterly haunting. Even though it is rather brighter in color... it still has this forlorn feeling to it. Nicely done!

I love this tree. I love trees in general, and this one in particular. It has a lovely feel to it!

Lovely colour and I like the depth to it. Haunting is the word.

Really catches the feel of that sort of windy day with birds maybe on a migratory path...

I really love that. Very beautiful.

I hate it when the computer eats things...here it is usually the power company with the power going out. Those angel dog things I do sometimes will have 20 plus layers. I've lost a few of those by working too fast without saving.
