Over at Create a Connection yesterday's message is this: "I'd like to ask you to make a wish (as many as you'd like) and to support each other's wishes. It's very simple. Just post on your blog something you really, truly, deeply (and maybe even secretly) wish for and leave a comment here to let us all know that you've done so. Then everyone who is participating .... and anyone who sees this post, please go to each and every one of our wishes and in the comments write, 'As _____ wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.' Encourage people to go over and do the same."
Soooo....
I wish that I could have a group of my collages all hanging together somewhere where people could see them.
For Try Day, I’m posting this wish of mine. Part of the experience is having other people support my dream by including in the comments, “As _____ wishes for herself, so I wish for her also.” I would love it if you’d take part and help bring my dream come to life.
This was very hard for me to write/share. It seems presumptuous to assume that other people would want to see my work, that they could be affected by it. I feel as though I need to apologize for even thinking that--even though I would tell my kids never to apologize for a wish or a dream...
What do you wish for?

Karen, I am so happy that you put your wish out into the world. I hear in your post and message that this was a real act of courage. Your bravery is inspiring.
When I read your wish, I immediately went to the rest of your blog, hoping you'd shared collages so I could see your work. I deeply related to the black-haired woman in the sombre dress by the tree. I can't stop looking at that piece.
Please know that by sharing this wish, you've already found one new fan of your art. I know there will be more. I'll look forward to hearing about the opening of your art exhibit.
hugs,
Jamie

And Karen - I'm glad you posted at CaC - I wouldn't have gotten to see your blog and your art otherwise! Lovely!

i applaud your bravery because i hear this was hard to write down and share. but this is a wish that will come true, most definitely. i can see it already.
you could take a couple samples to a local cafe, your town library, a local shop, wherever. it's scary at first, but you can do it!

The thought of writing my wish, even though I've spoken of it on my blog, still seems intimidating to me, but I'm going to give it a chance. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Karen's wish for herself and her art and believe it will come true, because I wish the very same thing for her.
Karen, what an awesome wish, I'm so glad you were brave and did put it out there so we could support you in that. I think it's a fantastic wish and will be praying you find the perfet place to hang all your lovely art that I know someone out there not just wants to, but NEEDS to see!

I took a peek at some of your artwork as this was my first visit to your blog....and I love it! You are very talented. Boulevard of Dreams was one I especially liked but they are all good. I'm sure your wish will come true!!

i found your link somewhere in the blogosphere and was touched this post. we never know what will touch someone else, the important thing is that you work from your heart, the other things really don't matter. your work is wonderful, i can easily see it grouped in a public venue for people to enjoy and/or be moved by.
your blog has so much heart, your heart, it's very beautiful karen.

Thanks so much for sharing this-your art is lovely, and your dream will come true.
Now I'm going to go share this on my blog--jus think of the possibilities if we all support each other's dreams!

You should post your wish to the Robin Hood Fund. I really enjoyed reading your wish. Best of luck.
