I've been so inspired by all the cool watercolors I've been seeing (I'm talking about you, Lynn:) so I dug out some watercolors to play with. Kelly and Josie are here ( we are having soooo much fun!) and so I'm painting using watercolors during 'quiet time'. Josie has done some really cool watercolors, too, which I'll post when I scan them--
We are calling this one "The Green Girl."

Loving your beautiful watercoloured girl. Annette x
Lovely work! I love painting faces, but watercolours are so challenging - you did a beautiful job
I love that you used a different color palette for her! Makes her so much more interesting. :)
She's just lovely!
I love how the water of colors flow over this painting so effortlessly and beautifully. You are such a good artist!
Your style far outshines mine dear friend. ;-)
lovely green girl I once painted a girl with green hair but I don't have it any more...sometimes I wonder where she is and if she is still around somewhere

This is great... watercolours are fantastic for getting pure and fresh colour aren't they.... I love the use of the green... have you looked at Matisse's portraits... if not google them and you will see why I mention it... this looks like one of his works...xx
Fun seeing you doing watercolors. We do inspire each other dont we here in blog land. Keep up the good work.
Hi Karen, thank you for stopping in at my blog. Your art is wonderful! You commented about sending some in for possible publication and I say go for it! I was afraid too, but I felt the time was right. If they don't accept, just send again I think!! Trust the Lord's timing!

I also love the effects of watercolors but find them quite intimidating. Maybe one day! You do great with them.
