I am going to put this a nicely, but as honestly as I can. I have seen your "blog" and your "art" and it is awful.

Your use of color is staggering poor, your line quality is that of a five year old. Each time you post something I feel more ashamed for you than I have ever been for anyone in my life.

I have been an artist for over thirty years. I have been a college Professor, a Gallery Curator of a major New York Gallery and an art critic.

I have seen the posts by your "friends" and it is nice that they have kind words for you. It is also nice to have a hobby... I just wouldn't call what your doing "ART".

Your artwork is simple, that of a Child's. You have no use of perspective, color concepts or a basic skill of what should fill a canvas. Your use of material is poor and you truly need to study light.
You need to study the human figure!!! Your images look like cartoon nightmares!!!!

I know, what I am writing seems harsh. But I think someone should be honest with you. God knows it is time!!!

Wow! Is this stuff awful!

I was actually online looking for my friend's website and I sadly came upon your fowl artwork! Do you paint with your feet or with our eyes closed?

I am going to email her your little "blog" so that we can both laugh at your lack luster skill!

Sad!!

Sad!!!!

Yikes.

This sucks, what the hell woman? Don't you know how to draw?

Anyone who says that you have talent is LYING! Quit telling your friends to post nice comments. The truth may hurt but at least it is the truth.

Karen, as one of your oldest and dearest friends, I beg you to disable the "anonymous" option on your posts. You're getting remarks from someone who seriously needs counseling and is most probably mentally ill.

Obviously this person is lying about being an art teacher or expert, as he or she would then know that art can't be defined or restricted by one person's "definition" of its worth.

Keep up the creativity. I'm loving all the fun and experimentation you're posting!

HEY KL,

Quit Giving this woman hope. Her work is awful. She has no skill what so ever. She has no line control, her use of color is sad at best. And the fact you people try to give her false hope is not helping her in the least.

Art is subjective. It also has to be based in talent. Some form of it at least? To call yourself an Artist you have to be able to back it up with work that does not look like it has been drawn by a four year old!

Take a class! I am begging you!

But hey, if you don't believe me... post your so called "artwork" on deviant art. That is where real artists go to show off their work.

I can almost guarantee you that they will laugh you off the space.

Actually, I am an Art Teacher in NYC. I have taught art for over thirty years. Granted, I might be a bit harsh but at least I am honest. Stop listening to your friends and start getting some real help.

Friends are great for shopping, watching your kids and telling you when your spouse is a louse. They are not art critics. They also won't tell you when you look hideous in something you love. Same with Art.

But here, I am sport. Go to this website and check out color schemes. Please.. I am begging you.

Maybe you will be able to figure out why I find your art so dreadful. My dear you need to learn color. Then work on your line quality.
