Need jumper cables--or something...

Have a little trouble getting back into the groove. Sigh.

I expected this, which maybe made it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

What do YOU do when you're having trouble getting started?

Pick up one of my magazines like Cloth Paper Scissors or Quilting Arts or Sommerset Sew and get ideas for a next project!!! And then go through my stash and just jump in...

Yesterday I started dyeing used dryer sheets, paper towels and tulle that I had been saving...and will make something don't know what yet from them.

I go to a challenge blog and take up the gauntlet, so to speak.

Alternately, I start cleaning my desk, and I invariably find something interesting that I haven't played with in a while that sparks my muse.

I agree with the others. I look through magazines for a project that I can start, and cleaning my studio always sparks something. I usually get sidetracked halfway through and am busily creating before I ever finish cleaning.

When I'm there, it just sorta happens. Don's know how, but I'm sure the flood gates will break wide open for you very soon.

I stop fighting my own resistance and do whatever it is I want to do in that moment. If in that moment I just want to sleep, then I set my alarm and let myself nap for 20 minutes.
