This is an experiment using Shiva Oil Sticks. After it was dry, I sealed it with a coat of beeswax.
I originally got these sticks to use on fabric. They dry in 24 hours, and can be heat set on fabric. Very cool--not sure I'll use them for my girls. I'm still loving the Golden Open Acrylics...

Just peeling the tops take forever so you can use them. Or what am I missing?

You know what, I have those oil sticks too but have never used them.

Did you also use them for the facial features????? I didn't think they'd be good for such detail.
I have so much to learn with all of these new mediums! wax? oil sticks? golden? I need to pull the canvas back out and play!
I recently bought some of these but haven't tried them yet. I hope my results turn out even half as good as yours.
I like to use oils sticks in combination with Golden acrylics. they work well together. I got that idea from Misty Mawn.
