Up the Endless Stairs

There were no railings to hold onto, nowhere safe to fall--so she kept climbing...

She is every woman alive.

She must keep chugging along.

It's such a privilege to read your blog and watch the evolution.

She's on her way to somewhere ... love the little slump in her shoulders, but the determined-ness to keep going!

Oh, the curl in the middle of the forehead ... is that a sign of "very, very good," or "when she was bad ...?"

Great color scheme! I loved the background treatment, and I see a fun, new direction starting.

Wonderful composition - the steps winding up and off the page is fabulous.

I LOVE this one. It has so many levels both visually and semantically. Plus I can relate to that girl who has no choice but to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

She is every woman isn't she.

She is cute and pretty, I like the colours, but she looks weary and a little sad. Those steps could be scary, but I shall think of them as leading somewhere exciting and interesting and full of adventure, so the weariness slips from her shoulders.

great work Karen... great!

Oh a quilt walk to now where, or somewhere, or anywhere...I love the collage background behind this forlorn other little girl. ( I see quilts in everything).

I can totally 'relate' to these stairs...daily!

I like the direction you are taking yourself is drawing expressionism.

They have a little of you within everyone in each piece.
How insightful
