Sequoia Foothill Art Show

I took three pieces up to the art show yesterday--when we went this afternoon, I had two blue ribbons!

I certainly felt different this year (last year one of my art quilts received a second place ribbon). This year I felt confident in my art ability, not apologetic or shy. I even put prices on them, which is huge (for me). The abstract hanging below my red canvas was priced at $864, and mine was priced at $39--but at least I put prices on them.

Congrats on your wins, Karen! You are very talented and I'm glad you are getting some recognition!

Yay! It's neat to have a marker to help you realize how much you've grown in just one year. Good for you! Just imagine where you might be in one more year.

You confidence in yourself comes through as confidence in your art. People can see that. Congratulations!

Congrats to you. Also well done for putting a price on them, as well as on your blog page. (Very reasonable prices).
I agree with Kelly too: it will be great to see how much further you travel in the year ahead.
